Pilot Missions

Conversation with V3-FX

V3-FX: Greetings. I am V3-FX, Alliance Pilot Relations. May I interest you in our starfighter training program?
PC: Sounds like fun. Where do I sign?
V3-FX: Oh, there is nothing to sign. You simply need to apply yourself to the flight lessons I have to teach. Are you interested?
PC: Interested? Is there money in it?
V3-FX: There is a measure of monetary compensation for your efforts. Honestly, most pilots fly because they feel it is important to their survival. Do you not agree?
PC: Yeah, sure. Why not.
V3-FX: Splendid! You are now part of the Alliance pilot training program.
PC: I will need a starship.
V3-FX: You are in luck. The Alliance has stowed a number of restored fighter craft at starports here on Naboo. I will upload the security codes for one of these vessels to your datapad.
PC: Thanks.
V3-FX: You are most welcome. Are you ready for your first assignment?
PC: Yes. I am ready.
V3-FX: You will fly a four-point patrol above Naboo. We will need your ship's sensor data when you are finished.
PC: What am I looking for?
V3-FX: Alliance intelligence has plans for this route. I don't know precisely what these plans are - but I assure you that I'll tell you as soon as I know.
PC: Don't worry. I will be fine.
V3-FX: Of that I am certain.

Naboo system: Patrol Nabooian frontier

Description:

Patrol the Nabooian frontier. We will update your nav computer with waypoints of possible safe routes. Follow them and keep your eye out for enemy threats. When you complete this mission, return to V3-FX in Moenia for your next assignment.

Simply fly to the patrol waypoint listed, as you pass one, another updates. When you reach the 3rd waypoint, you advance to objective 2.

Naboo system: Eliminate Enemy Patrol

Description:

An enemy patrol of Imperial TIE fighters have spotted you. Defeat them to complete the mission.

Nothing tough here, Eliminate the advancing Tie Fighters. Consists of 3 Tier 1 Tie Fighters.

Upon completion return to V3-FX to start next mission.

Rewards:

• 27 Rebel Faction Points

V3-FX: Thank goodness you've returned in one piece! How was your first mission?
PC: Fighters attacked me!
V3-FX: Oh dear! What did you do?
PC: They fought well, but I fought better.
V3-FX: This is good to hear, pilot! Congratulations.

Conversation with V3-FX

V3-FX: We will need a short while to decode and interpret your starship sensor data. In the meantime, there is more work to be done... if you are ready?
PC: (Salute) Yes, sir!
V3-FX: Um... yes... um... Let's have some revenge on the Empire. Find four of their puny TIE fighters in the Naboo system and destroy them!
PC: Where is the rally point?
V3-FX: There will be none. You have to search the Naboo system until you find some good targets.
PC: Only the TIE fighters?
V3-FX: Yes, please. Alliance intelligence 'net is quite clever - you see, the Empire does not yet know that their fleet info has been compromised. Strike their TIE fighters with extreme prejudice, and they will have no choice but to halt their greater strategy.
PC: (Salute) For the Alliance!
V3-FX: Yes! Please perform this task in the name of the Alliance!

Naboo system: Hunt the TIE Fighters

Description:

We want to show the Empire that they are not untouchable in the Naboo system. Hunt down four TIE fighters and destroy them. That should be a sufficient wake up call for the Empire. When you complete this mission, return to V3-FX in Moenia for your next assignment.

As you launch into the Naboo System, you are given the task of finding and eliminating 4 tie fighters of your choice. In addition, 5 random waypoints are uploaded to your flight com showing possible target locations. Return to V3-FX when you kill 4.

Rewards:

• 200 Credits
• 55 Rebel Faction Points

V3-FX: We have decoded your starship sensor data... and we have bad news. The planned Alliance supply route has been thoroughly compromised. We need you to find us another route. Are you ready to take flight again?
PC: (Salute) Yes, sir!

Naboo system: Find New Supply Route

Escorting the transport

Description:

Find a New Supply Route. We will update your nav computer with new waypoints of possible secure supply routes. Follow them and keep your eye out for any enemy threats. When you complete this mission, return to V3-FX in Moenia for your next assignment.

When you launch into naboo space, you are given a waypoint, fly to it, then a new one appears, keep flying to the patrol waypoints they list until Objective 2 updates automatically.

Naboo system: Protect Alliance Refugee Transport

Description:

Protect Alliance Refugee Transport.

First, fly to the waypoint where you are to wait for the transport to hyper in, then escort it. Follow it for a few and it should complete.

You will get attacked by 3 Tier 1 TIE Fighters.

Rewards:

• 500 Credits
• 55 Rebel Faction Points
• Fighter Flightsuit

Conversation with V3-FX

V3-FX: While you were away, we discovered some information that will break the back of the Empire's fleet movements here in Naboo. Are you ready to fly again?
PC: (Salute) Affirmative!
V3-FX: We have located a rally point from which the Empire has staged their recent aggressions. Go to this point and bring down a veteran TIE fighter pilot.
PC: Yes sir!
V3-FX: Good luck!

Naboo system: Hunt down the Imperial Veteran

Description:

This Veteran TIE commander has been a problem for too long. Your orders are to eliminate this threat to the Alliance. When you complete this mission, return to V3-FX in Moenia and V3-FX will train you in a new Rebel Alliance Pilot Skill.

When you launch into naboo space, you are given a waypoint to the Imperial Veteran. He is a tier 2 tie fighter, his wingmen are 2 tier 1 tie fighters. Dispatch them to complete the mission.

Rewards:

• 1000 Credits
• 82 Rebel Faction Points
• Incom Ultralight Armor Plating

V3-FX: The Alliance HQ computer system has informed me that the TIE Veteran pilot has been defeated. Very good work, my friend. Very good, indeed!

Tier 1 XP Grind

Now that the 4 missions are complete, you should be able to train in one box. Talk to V3-FX and he will train you if you have 7500 space xp, if you do not, he will give you duty missions to take until you have enough xp to train.

Find a nice grind spot, or take duty missions to train your next 4 boxes of tier 1. They are each 7500 xp each.

• Box 1 - free when you start rebel pilot
• Box 2 - 7500xp, Basic Starfighter Continuation (Ywing Cert)
• Box 3 - 7500xp, Equipment A:Basic Alliance Starship (+65 missile launch, Level 2 and level 3 equip certs)
• Box 4 - 7500xp, Starfighter Survival Tactics (+20 Pilot Special Tactics, IFF Scramble, Jump Start LVL 1)
• Box 5 - 7500xp, Droid Interface Basics (Level 2 Astromech Rating, Tier 1 Rebel Droid Commands)

He then sends you to speak to Brother Vrovel.

V3-FX: Congratulations, pilot! You have successfully completed the first tier of the Alliance starfighter training program. Your next assignment will take you to planet Dantooine and place you under the guidance of Brother Vrovel... leader of the Vortex organization.
PC: What is 'Vortex?'
V3-FX: Unfortunately, I have very little information on the Vortex group. Alliance HQ indicates that they are a friendly organization dedicated to locating Light-side Jedi and recruiting them to the Rebel cause. They are a very secretive part of the Alliance which is why you need to be a full faction member of the Alliance before you can join them.
PC: Who is Brother Vrovel?
V3-FX: According to the Alliance main computer, Brother Vrovel is an eccentric Bith who has helped the Rebels on numerous occasions. He himself is not a pilot... for that matter, he has almost no pilots in his ranks. That is why you have been re-assigned.
PC: Where do I find this Brother Vrovel?
V3-FX: Searching my extensive database I see that he is in what the Empire think is an 'abandoned' Rebel base on Dantooine. The Alliance is so clever it's almost scary.
PC: Goodbye, V3.
V3-FX: Good bye, sir! And good luck on Dantooine!

Duty missions

V3-FX: Greetings, my friend. You will be pleased to know that Alliance High Command has authorized me to offer you a selection of combat duty missions. Are you interested in a duty mission?
PC: What is a duty mission?
V3-FX: A duty mission is an excellent way of earning experience towards your next training session. No good trainer would teach a pilot with no experience. Duty missions have no real end to them, you simply finish whenever you are ready. Would you like a duty mission?
PC: I am interested in a duty mission.
V3-FX: That is most excellent to hear. We have two mission types available. You may choose to patrol the system and destroy any Imperials that you find, or you may choose to help escort our supply ships. Which would you like?
PC: I would like to patrol Naboo space. / Our transports could use my help.
