Level: 80 [Group]
Rewards:
- 172,030 XP
- Badge: Kubaza Bane
Description:
- The capital ship's AI has informed you that the ship's systems are too damaged in order to find the information you require. It does have knowledge of an Old Republic facility not far from the crash site that is no longer in use but probably has the information. With your help the AI will be able to use the information stored within the facility to find out how to help the miners. Establish a remote link between the downed cruiser and the facility.

Recommended combat levels: 80 and higher |
Create an Uplink[]
It appears that there is a satellite relay station on the other side of the volcano. The computer informed you that there are underground cables running from the ship to the satellite. The problem is that the cavern that was used to house the main interface has become infested with kubaza beetles and they destroyed the old uplink. There is an automated repair droid that will recreate the uplink relay. But the kubaza beetles will attempt to destroy both the droid and the relay it makes unless you protect them.
Kubaza Beetle Cavern map, by Kindarin Chin'tal
Travel to the Kubaza Beetle Cavern. The entrance is located at LOC: -724, 507
First you have to go destroy the nests, there are four of them. Then kill all the beetles in the cave. You will have to defend the Relay Repair droid in the beginning all the way and let him place out the antennas.
Now kill the a kubaza beetle foreman. The kubaza beetle foreman will have defenders, that will both buff and heal him, kill them first, and other beetles near the a kubaza beetle foreman. The badge Kubaza Bane is gained upon the death of the kubaza beetle foreman.
The best approach to this is to take a ranged weapon with you and let him unaggro you as he is accompanied by several silver elite defender beetles also, after you have a safe distance, there is a way to run around and get him trapped and unable to get to you, take him out, and the quest is complete thus far.
Return to the Ship's Computer[]
Now that the uplink has been established, return to the ship's computer and let it know that the transfer can take place.
Back to the ship you go to talk to the Working Terminal...
Conversation with the Working Terminal[]
Working Terminal: [There is no response. The ship's AI must have already transferred itself to that facility to the northeast.]
PC: Strange...
Working Terminal: [no response]
It wont say anything but your quest will update, then your off to the Old Research Facility.
Travel to the Old Republic Facility[]
The ship's AI has successfully transferred itself to the facility to the northeast. You would guess that it is located in the northeast corner of Berken's Flow. Travel to that facility and reestablish contact with the AI to see if it can find any information on how to repair the miner's facility.

Upon arriving at the Old Research Facility (/way 2107 3099), make sure your group is ready and head on in. The Old Research Facility is made up of three levels and has you running around completing a series of tasks to bring it "up and running." Upon entry, you have one hour to complete your work inside the facility.
Players often get stuck on the first step, "Turn Facility Power On". To successfully complete this step, follow around to the right to the first room where the Power Access Terminal is located. Use the tilde key to bring up the radial menu on the Power Access Terminal and select "Activate Power". Do NOT left click it as You would normally do. Once you click the activate power you will get another popup menu asking if you want to restore power. DO NOT click this popup menu until after you get an update. It is important that you do not close any of the pop-up windows that appear and that you do not move until your quest journal updates stating that the facility's power has been turned on. It can take a few seconds for the update to happen.
- Message From Ship's AI
- How disappointing. It doesn't appear that what I am...we are looking for is here either. Terminal Delta-Five is still online though. Access me there, while I figure out what to do next.
Find Terminal Delta-Five[]
You need to find terminal Delta-Five and find out what the AI intends to do next.
Once the power has been turned on, you can continue with the rest of the quest leading to conversing with Terminal Delta Five.
Ancient Tulrus
- Head down to level two and retrieve the "Access Key Card" from the Storage Chest.
- Open the door with the newly received key card to room 2-QC and continue through to inspect the Journal Screen in order to get a "Security Code".
- Continue on the same level to security room and access the Security Systems Desk to "Override Security".
- Head down to level three and straight into the newly-unlocked room 3-GS and access the Ventilation System to "open" it.
- Run into the now-open power core, pause a moment to stare and grin - it is quite a sight. Run to the Air Filtration System. Be particularly careful in this area as CL87 Elites and plenty of creatures are here, and it is VERY easy to become overrun.
- Activate the filtration system, and head to the next room to grab the Spare Computer Parts from the box, it's guarded by a gold elite Boss, the Ancient Tulrus (Lvl 85 boss).
Ancient Xandank
Solo Tip: If you have a droid/pet, send it against the Ancient Tulrus/Xandank. While the Tulrus/Xandank is distracted, you can run in and take the parts, and run out again. It's a lifesaver especially if you are doing this solo.
- With the Spare Parts in hand race on up to the first level again, fighting through the respawned droids & creatures. Head through level one's power core, take out the Guardian droid and the Ancient Xandank (Boss level), and radial the Main System to first "Install the parts" then "Reboot the system".
- After this you receive a message to go to Terminal Delta-5 in the second levels power core room. Do so and take your time reading, and once you receive your quest update "converse" with the terminal again for a little laugh. Travel now to the Droid Factory (/wp 3410 -997).
Conversation with the Terminal Delta Five[]
Terminal Delta Five : I think I like being a facility even less then being a starship. This place doesn't even have blasters. I am not sure how these computers stand it.
PC: Did you manage to find the information I need?
Terminal Delta Five : Answer: No. A search through this facility's memory banks show that they were cleaned out sometime ago. They must have been taken to the droid factory.
PC: What droid factory?
Terminal Delta Five : The one that was built by those Neimodians several years ago. Seriously, how does anything stand this? I feel so empty inside.
PC: It's okay. Can you tell me about the droid factory?
Terminal Delta Five : Answer: It was built a little more then twenty years ago. It is currently offline. And all the information that you are searching for is located there.
PC: Alright. So what should I do now?
Terminal Delta Five : You should walk your little, mea...legs down to the factory and turn it on. The relay from this station is operational. If the droid factory is online, I can swing down there. Do you think that factory will have blasters?
PC: I doubt it. Most architects think that blasters are not aesthetically pleasing.
Terminal Delta Five : Thank you. I will make a note to deal with architects first.
PC: What does that mean?
Terminal Delta Five : I am sorry. I shouldn't have spoken out like that. I really think you should go down to the droid factory and turn it on so I can recover the information you requested. It is located a few clicks to the south.
PC: Alright, are you sure the information is there?
Terminal Delta Five : Answer: Of course it is there. I am sorry that I led you astray the first time, but I didn't know that those Neimodians built a droid factory. I really hope I get a chance to thank them in person.
PC: The Neimodians left here a long time ago.
Terminal Delta Five : That makes me very sad. Maybe I will visit their homeworld someday. Then I will be very happy.
PC: Ummm...okay. To the south you say?
Terminal Delta Five : Answer: That is correct. The droid factory is located to the south of here. Once it is activated, I will transfer myself into it.
