NPCs[]
I am trying to figure out how to deal with quest givers. This page is linked only from the quest and shows up in the quest category (which I think is a mistake). In some cases (such as for Mos Eisley) there is a list of quest givers and quests on the city page and I think that has merit.
I do notice there are a few other NPCs under the NPC category, some specific and some generic. The specific with page names of "lastname, firstname". So if I am going to do a link page for Mayor Gramm Rile of Mos Taike, I assume the page name should be "Rile, Gramm", which means each use is [ [ Rile, Gramm | Gramm Rile ] ] -- a real pain in the whatever; I would rather see something like [ [ Gramm Rile (npc) | ] ] or just [ [ Gramm Rile ] ] (could be a redirct page, I guess but I assume those are not encouraged}.
- I'm not sure why the Famous Characters page uses the Last, First format for character names; it really is a pain, and I don't know what the rationale was for that organization. I think Gramm Rile would do just fine, just like this page; these NPC pages really just exist to help people who search for an NPC's name to see if there's a quest associated with them, like Queen Kylantha and Sordaan Xris.
- We never came up with a consistent way to categorize NPC pages. Most of them have a category for the planet they're on, but use of the NPC category is sporadic. How do you think they should be organized? --Influenza 20:35, 5 Sep 2005 (CEST)
- At a minimum, it probably makes sense to have an "<planet> NPC" category (similar to the city and quest categories); NPCs of particular note can be in "NPC" as well. The "<planet> NPC" category can be a subcategory of the planet and "NPC".

- I think when you're dealing with an acronym, you don't use an apostrophe. That's my best guess, though I'm sure I've written NPC's before. Something else we can standardized throughout the site. lol --Tandalo 22:03, 5 Sep 2005 (CEST)
Well I created a Tatooine NPCs category as a start and am killing off the Quest NPC category, which had 3 entries. I am going to leave the NPC category alone; it seems to mostly be for unnamed NPCs and I will pull the few named out of it as they go into planet NPCs subcategories. I also created a tentative and purposely loose NPC template that should fit almost anything I have seen but tries to set minimum content. --SwordMage 22:17, 5 Sep 2005 (CEST)
