A Tusken Raider

Game Info

Tusken Raiders, sometimes referred to as Sand People, are a group of nomadic sentients indigenous to Tatooine. They acquired the name Tusken Raiders from their attack on one of Tatooine's earliest modern settlements, Fort Tusken, although they referred to themselves as Ghorfa.

The Sand People inhabited The Needles in the rocky Jundland Wastes and commonly performed raids on borderline colonist communities. Any creatures, particularly offworlders, were subject to the savage attacks of the territorial hunters. Riding on trained banthas, the Sand People would appear swiftly from the desert, riding in single file to conceal their numbers, and then reenter the cover of the dunes.

Sand People are involved in many quests on Tatooine, including:

• Lorne Prestar's quest
• Tekil Barje's quest
• The Legacy Quest (starting with Tusken Raiders in Mos Eisley, and also Jawa Tracks)
• Bossk's quest A Chance Meeting
• Fort Tusken and the "Battle of Fort Tusken"
• The Tusken King's Rifle quest, involved in both the Borvo the Hutt quest and the Darklighter's Estate quest
• The Tusken Army Heroic Encounter

Statistics

The statistics for the Sand People have varied greatly over the life of the game. With the NGE they were substantially weakened, but reports of seriously high level Tuskens (CL80+) persist, especially around Fort Tusken (these rumors are somewhat false, the tuskens there are lvl. 34, BUT they are BOSSES. The stats below may or may not be 100% accurate from publish to publish.
