Reverse engineering chance

Reverse engineering chance is a skill modifier that affects reverse engineering.

RE chance sources[]

A total of +159 Reverse Engineering Chance can be gained from skill enhancing attachments, powerups and each of the following:

Skill enhancing attachments[]

Reverse engineering chance has a ratio of 10, therefore use +30 powerbits to make RE chance modifier bits. In order to make a +3 RE chance and + 35 Luck (2 stat) SEA, combine the RE chance modifier along with a +30 powerbit. Next combine the +3 RE chance SEA along with a luck modifier bit and either a +35 2nd or 3rd order powerbit.

  • +4 on chest plate: +3 SEA made by munition traders and crafted with an inherent +1 modifier by armorsmiths. (+35 luck can also be added)
  • +4 on weapon: +3 SEA made by engineers and crafted with an inherent +1 modifier by weaponsmiths. (+35 luck can also be added)
  • +3 on shirt: made by tailors. (+35 luck can also be added)

Powerups[]

To craft a +11 powerup, you NEED A +35 POWER BIT and LUCK and RE MODS! So buy your first +10 powerups to then be able to make your own!

  • +11 chest powerup, made by armorsmiths (can VERY RARELY find or make +12)
  • +11 shirt powerup, made by tailors (can VERY RARELY find or make +12)
  • +11 weapon powerup, made by droid engineers (can VERY RARELY find or make +12)

Shipwrights[]

RE mods from powerups, armor, shirt, and weapon attachments, and the Cybernetic Deconstruction Arm do not work for Shipwright Reverse Engineering. Instead, A 90th level Shipwright adds a specific bonus to the parts they are REing and they get 1/10th the Expertise bonus (i.e. 1% from 2 points) in addition to the following table:

  • Level 1 Parts = 1% bonus (2% with the expertise points)
  • Level 2, 3 Parts = 2% bonus (3% with the expertise points)
  • Level 4, 5 Parts = 3% bonus (4% with the expertise points)
  • Level 6, 7 Parts = 4% bonus (5% with the expertise points)
  • Level 8, 9 Parts = 5% bonus (6% with the expertise points)
  • Level 10 Parts = 6% bonus (7% with the expertise points)

RE chance modifier bits[]

The following combinations of junk can be reverse engineered to create a Reverse Engineering chance modifier bit:
