You can start this side quest by talking again to Captain Jark in Tyrena once you have started the quest Let the Buyer Beware after completing Talk to Captain Jark.
Conversation with Captain Jark[]
Captain Jark: Thank you for all your help here. I have one more request of you if you feel up to it.
PC: You said you had one more request. What is it?
Captain Jark: Well, from all you have told me, it appears the Ragtags are going to be mounting an offensive against us. It would be of great help if we could weed out their numbers early. Interested?
PC: Sure! I'll take care of them!
Captain Jark: I knew you were up to the task. Kill 15 Ragtag thugs and 10 Ragtag mercenaries south of town. They have been loitering around that area...probably waiting for the right moment to attack.
Eliminate 15 Ragtag Thugs / Eliminate 10 Ragtag Mercenaries[]
Pleased with all your work, Captain Jark wants you to do one more thing - orchestrate a first strike against the Ragtags, who are obviously planning a major offensive against the city soon. He says if you could kill 15 Ragtag thugs it would slow their plans considerably.
Travel to the Ragtag meeting place (-5684 -2843) and slay 15 thugs (CL36). Once they are dead, slay 10 mercenaries (CL37).
Captain Jark: Great work! That should slow them down. This buys us time to get the troops trained with the weapons and be prepared for them if they decide to try anything.
Return to Jark[]
Then return to Captain Jark in Tyrena.
