Pilot Missions[]
Conversation with Nirame Sakute[]
Nirame Sakute: Now then. You did good work with Jabba.
PC: Thanks.
Nirame Sakute: Write that one down in your diary! I just gave you a compliment. I NEVER give compliments. It's a red-letter day.
PC: Aw shucks. Lucky me.
Nirame Sakute: If Jabba's happy, we're happy. We can't do our jobs without the love and affection of our local crime lords.
PC: I see.
Nirame Sakute: Now that Jabba's content, we can go about our business.
PC: Yeah.
Nirame Sakute: But the question is, what have you done for me lately? So let's get to work. Had enough of this place?
PC: Enough for a lifetime!
Nirame Sakute: Well listen up, there's a whole galaxy of booty out there, ripe for the picking! It's time for you to branch out, see what's out there. Think you're up to it?
PC: Oh yeah.
Nirame Sakute: I'm warning you now - it's the big time! Lots of unsavory elements flying around out there!
PC: Like what?
Nirame Sakute: There's CorSec, for one thing. Those guys are always mucking things up for us. Then you've got your stuck-up RSF forces. The Imperials would like us to straighten up and fly right - and that'll never happen! Even your old friend Lady Valarian is gunning for us, since we're aligned with Jabba.
PC: I can handle them.
Nirame Sakute: OK! That's all I need to hear. Now listen up! Here's the situation. One of Nym's ships is carrying a load of spice - although you didn't hear that from me. You're going to transfer that spice to a Hutt smuggler.
PC: Where?
Nirame Sakute: Lok! Prettiest corner of the galaxy. Although you won't be doing any business on the surface. This is strictly a space mission.
PC: Sounds easy enough.
Nirame Sakute: Sure! It'd be REAL easy, if the Imperials would just mind their own business! But I think you can count on some interference from Imperial forces.
PC: Sounds like fun.
Nirame Sakute: If you say so! You'll find the coordinates in your ship's database. Bye now!
Transport Goods Between Systems[]
Lok System: Transport Goods Between Systems[]
Description:
- Transfer cargo from a Nym contact in the Lok System to a Hutt Transport in the Dantooine System.
This mission consists of collecting goods, delivering them and survive all waves attacking you. You are not supposed to destroy any of your opponents, you can just avoid them if you think it's better for you.
Jump to Lok system at Lurid Dawn Hyperspace point, and dock with the Nym Freighter at the rendezvous location. You will have then to jump immediately to the Dantooine system at Isryn's Veil Hyperspace point. Just dock with the Hutt Transport to deliver the goods. You will be jumped by 2 Tier 4 TIE Advanceds, followed by 4 Tier 4 TIE Interceptors. You will then receive your next mission:
Dantooine System: Deliver Hutt Cargo[]
Description:
- Middle man the cargo from the two Hutt contacts under pressure from CorSec attacks.
You will be attacked by several waves:
- 3 Tier 4 A-Wings "Corsec Interceptor."
- 3 Tier 4 KSE Firespray "Corsec Interdiction Craft."
- 2 Tier 3 Z-95 "Corsec Fighter."
- 1 Tier 4 Ye-4 Gunship "Corsec Gunship."
- 3 Tier 4 KSE Firespray "Corsec Interdiction Craft"
- A bunch of waves: 3 Tier 4 A-Wings "Corsec Fighter" (since you finish the mission)
Try to dock with the Transport safely to finish that mission.
Alternate Suggestion: When you approach the waypoints in the Dantooine system you will be ambushed by lots of tier 4 ships. Rather than slug it out with these, as soon as they spawn--turn and flee, quickly initiating an in-system hyperspace jump. In order to stay alive long enough to make the jump, make regular use of the capacitor to shield shunt. Once you've made the jump you are free to seek repairs in-system (if need be), before returning to the waypoint which is now devoid of fighters. Rinse and repeat.
Alternative #2: If you find your self unable to hyperspace in system quickly enough, or you are unable to outrun them, try disabling the fighters. Target their engines, disable the craft, target next craft and repeat. It will slow down the enemy spawn time giving you more of a chance to breathe. Slowing it down can help you dock without taking on as much damage.
Alternative #3: your IFF Transponder ability gives you plenty of time to head straight to the Hutt transport and dock unmolested.
Reward:
- Credits : 10000 credits.
- A level 8 Mandalmotors "Q series" Booster.
Conversation with Nirame Sakute[]
Nirame Sakute: OK! So far, so good. Mission accomplished. And in true pirate tradition, you get a little off the top.
PC: Thanks.
Nirame Sakute: Anytime! I'm a generous Rodian. See me later.
Recover the Captured Freighter[]
Conversation with Nirame Sakute[]
Nirame Sakute: Hey, there you are. Ready to get back to work?
PC: Sure.
Nirame Sakute: What do you know about the Black Sun?
PC: I know they're trouble.
Nirame Sakute: Not for us, they're not! Talon and the Black Sun have an... understanding. A lucrative one.
PC: Interesting,
Nirame Sakute: Sure is! They're killers and sociopaths, but they're good earners. And they need our help.
PC: What's the situation?
Nirame Sakute: The Imperials have captured a Black Sun transport. It's carrying some good contraband - the kind of thing that would eventually end up in our pockets, if the Imperials would just mind their own business.
PC: So I'm gunning for the Imperials.
Nirame Sakute: You sure are!
PC: What about the Black Sun? Don't they want to save their own ship?
Nirame Sakute: Sure! But the ship's almost completely disabled, so the guys on board are no use. And there aren't any other Black Sun in the vicinity. We're it!
PC: Then I guess I better get to work.
Nirame Sakute: I guess so! Let me know how it goes! Get to Dantooine and hurry up.
Dantooine System: Recover the Captured Freighter[]
Description:
- Recover the captured Black Sun craft from Imperial custody.
Travel to Dantooine. Once there, you will receive a waypoint and instructions to tackle a contraband laden frigate. Take out the escort at your leisure, which consists of 4 TIE fighters (Tier 4). Once done, disable the frigates engine and wait. When the waypoint changes and word comes through that you should escort the ship, do so but expect to be attacked by:
- 1 Tier 4 TIE Interceptor.
Once the frigate makes its jump to lightspeed, your next task is to disable an Imperial Lambda shuttle.
Dantooine System: Capture the Imperial Freighter[]
Description:
- Sneak in behind the Imperials as they are distracted by your last capture and steal one of the Shuttles.
Approach the shuttle cautiously having targeted its turreted weapon. The shuttle has a blind spot directly below it; stay in that angle and you'll be reasonably safe. Disable the ship.
Then escort it against:
- 1 Tier 4 TIE Aggressor.
When the escort is complete, you'll be notified of an impending ambush.
Dantooine System: Escape from the Imperial Attack[]
Description:
- Escape from the Imperial attack!
Proceed to the indicated point; two Imperial gunboats will arrive and the mission will complete. Leave immediately and return to your trainer.
Alternate Suggestion: These two gunboats will not move, making it exceptionally easy to come up on their blind spots and take them out for a significant amount of exp.
Reward:
- Credits : 10000 credits.
- a Borstel Disruptor. This, and its twin cousin the Incom "Tri-Cannon" Rebel Tier 4 reward, are, hands down, pound for pound, the very best weapons in game.
Conversation with Nirame Sakute[]
Nirame Sakute: I'm always happy to see TIE fighter debris, floating through space. Nice work out there!
PC: Thanks.
Nirame Sakute: Here's a little something to tide you over until your next mission. Don't spend it all in one place.
Capture the Valarian Freight Plans[]
Conversation with Nirame Sakute[]
Nirame Sakute: Hey, there you are. Ready to get back to work?
PC: Sure.
Nirame Sakute: So tell me. Did you hear any good rumors in Jabba's Palace?
PC: What do you mean?
Nirame Sakute: Jabba's always working an angle. And we haven't heard much from him lately. Is he planning something in Dathomir?
PC: What? No!
Nirame Sakute: He is, isn't he? I've heard stories.
PC: I don't know what you're talking about.
Nirame Sakute: Uh huh.
PC: Really, I don't! I didn't have any time for gossip. I was too busy working.
Nirame Sakute: I'll just say one word: Dathomir.
PC: I can't tell you what I don't know!
Nirame Sakute: OK tough guy, have it your way. Let's get down to business. We need to help Jabba.
PC: I thought I was done with him.
Nirame Sakute: Jabba's a good ally for us. He's the strongest crime lord in the sector, by far.
PC: Sure - for now. One of these days, Lady Valarian could become the strongest.
Nirame Sakute: She's definitely the UGLIEST - and that's saying something! Jabba's not exactly easy on the eyes. And forget about Lady Valarian becoming the top player. It'll never happen.
PC: You never know.
Nirame Sakute: We're doing our part to keep Jabba on top. And that leads me to your next assignment.
PC: What is it?
Nirame Sakute: Valarians are starting to get active around Dantooine. Too active, if you know what I mean. We need to nip that nonsense in the bud. I want you to disable a Valarian gunship and inspect it.
PC: What am I looking for?
Nirame Sakute: Freight plans. I want to know what they're transporting!
PC: You got it.
Nirame Sakute: And remember: Jabba forever!
Dantooine System: Capture the Valarian Freight Plans[]
Description:
- Disable and inspect a Valarian Gunship.
Your real goal is to keep Jabba on top against Lady Valarian. To do this, travel to Dantooine, Isryn's Veil, and proceed to the given waypoint. Three Valarian gunships (Tier 3 Kimogilas) will be orbiting the waypoint. Inspect those ships before disabling, then dock with the ship containing the plans. You can destroy them afterwards. Once complete, you'll be sent to Tatooine (jump to Deep Sea) to destroy a Valarian gunship and bomber.
Tatooine System: Hunt Down and Destroy Valarian Operatives[]
Description:
- Hunt down and destroy Valarian operatives
At the waypoint will be a couple of Valarian tier 4 ships and a couple tier 5 gunships will spawn when you reach the waypoint. Wipe them out.
- 4 Tier 4 Kimogilas "Valarian Bombers."
- 1 Tier 5 Kimogilas "Valarian Gunship."
When complete, you'll be sent to Endor to intercept a Valarian freighter escorted by 1 Valarian Bomber.
Tatooine System: Defend from the Valarian Trick[]
Description:
- Defend from the Valarian trick.
Hyperspace to Endor, Red Sin Chimaera, destroy the bomber and disable the freighter.
- 2 Tier 4 Kimogilas "Valarian gunship."
- 2 Tier 5 Kimogilas "Valarian bomber."
Capture the Valarian freighter[]
Description:
- Capture the Valarian Mining Freigher as it arrives in the Endor System.
Once disabled, you'll need to escort it out of Endor against one wave of one gunship.
- 1 Tier 4 Kimogila "Valarian gunship."
Reward :
- Credits : 10000 credits.
- an Armek "Plasma Web" Shield Generator.
Conversation with Nirame Sakute[]
Nirame Sakute: Everything's coming up roses, %TU.
PC: What does that mean?
Nirame Sakute: It means that Jabba's paid us for services rendered! And since YOU'RE the one that rendered said service, here's a little cut.
PC: This is all I get?
Nirame Sakute: Hey! Don't be ungrateful. It's unattractive. If you want more, just ask me for another mission.
Assassinate the Imperial Ace[]
Conversation with Nirame Sakute[]
Nirame Sakute: Smugglers like us, we have a code.
PC: Enlighten me.
Nirame Sakute: It's simple. We just try to help people in need.
PC: That's it?
Nirame Sakute: Well...we really try to help people who can help US later on.
PC: Now you're talking.
Nirame Sakute: Good job with those Valarian fighters! You really put them in their place.
PC: I just did what I was told.
Nirame Sakute: Lots of people in this system hate the Valarians. They appreciate what you did. It's good publicity for the Smugglers Alliance, see.
PC: I follow you.
Nirame Sakute: So I want to keep spreading the love. You're going to go on a goodwill mission.
PC: How so?
Nirame Sakute: I want you to start targeting enemy forces - starting with an Imperial Ace. Everybody hates the Imperials!
PC: Where is this guy?
Nirame Sakute: All your action's going to be in Lok. Later on, you'll be targeting CorSec forces, even RSF - all the guys that do their part to stifle and subjugate the masses.
PC: So you're just a freedom fighter.
Nirame Sakute: Well...I want everybody to be free to do business with our smugglers, if that's what you mean!
PC: Very touching.
Nirame Sakute: Thanks. I think so! You're clear to leave anytime.
Lok System: Assassinate the Imperial Ace[]
Description:
- Destroy the Imperial Ace in the Lok System
In Lok (jump to Voria´s Ember), proceed to the waypoint where you must destroy:
- 4 Tier 4 TIE Advanced
- 1 Tier 5 TIE Oppressor.
- Note*
You only have a limited amount of time to reach the Ace (Oppressor) and Attack him before he jumps out of the system. You must attack him in order to get him to fight, just shooting the Advances that guard him will not pull him.
Lok System: Eliminate the CorSec patrol[]
Description:
- Show the Corellian Security they do not belong in Lok.
This is followed by a second waypoint with:
- 3 Tier 4 KSE Firesprays
- 1 Tier 4 Ye-4 gunboat (Imperial-style)
The gunship will chase you, so you can't stay in the blind spot. Come in from the front and target the engines or reactor, blast as long as you can, using "Capacitor to Shield Shunt" when necessary, then boost out. Rinse and repeat as necessary until you stop it cold. Then pick it apart at your leisure. After this, you're asked to head to Dantooine for one more objective.
EDIT: The 3 KSE Firesprays all agro if you attack one.
Same as for the Oppressor, if you don't attack the gunboat fast enough it will hyper out.
- Note: The 3 Firesprays do aggro as soon as you hit the gunboat. But the gunboat will not aggro if you attack one of the Firesprays. Kill them quick.
Dantooine System: Assassinate the RSF Ace[]
Description:
- Complete the triple threat by destroying a RSF Ace.
Jump to Dantooine's Wrath. This time, you're facing:
- 4 Tier 4 Z-95
- 1 Tier 5 X-Wing
Reward :
- Credits : 10000 credits
- a Haor Chall Military Grade Engine.
Be Careful, the RSF Ace will jump out of the system if not destroyed with in a specific amount of time.
Conversation with Nirame Sakute[]
Nirame Sakute: Money! You want it?
PC: Yes.
Nirame Sakute: You've got it!
After you completed your last mission, Nirame Sakute will send you to Admiral Willham Burke.
Conversation with Nirame Sakute[]
Nirame Sakute: Hey! There's my favorite bum now. I have some surprising news here for you.
PC: What are you talking about?
Nirame Sakute: I just got a communique from Alliance headquarters. Admiral Burke is asking us for help. They're in a jam, and they are looking for the best pilots they can find.
PC: Who is Admiral Burke?
Nirame Sakute: He is one of the Alliance fleet commanders. He's got a force stationed in the Outer Rim. Not really sure what they are planning to do out there, but if he is looking for outside help, it must be something big.
PC: So you want me to join the Rebellion?
Nirame Sakute: I don't want you to join ANYTHING. But I'll tell you one thing, if the Alliance is going to do something big, you can be sure that the Empire will be involved. And the way I see it, anything that is bad for the Empire is good for us.
PC: What are the Rebels planning to do?
Nirame Sakute: I can't really say, since I don't know. But it won't kill you to see this Admiral and hear what he has to say, right? He can't exactly force you to do anything for him, but there is a lot of things a pilot can learn from the Alliance.
PC: Where am I supposed to meet him?
Nirame Sakute: He's stationed on Corellia, in Doaba Guerfel. He is expecting someone from our operation to show up... and I think that someone should be you. I can't force you to go. It's up to you, but I think it would be a smart move, %TU.
Duty Missions[]
Conversation with Nirame Sakute[]
Nirame Sakute: What brings a pilot like you out this way? Surely you didn't come just to say hello.
PC: I'm looking for Talon Karrde.
Nirame Sakute: Don't bother! He's too busy to deal with the likes of you. As far as you're concerned, I AM Talon Karrde.
PC: Okay. So what's your name?
Nirame Sakute: What's in a name? You can just call me Sir.
PC: Sounds like you're really in love with yourself.
Nirame Sakute: Sure. What's not to love?
PC: I'm assuming you have work for me.
Nirame Sakute: You guessed right. Let's see what I've got on my roster! If you want to be a hero to Nym's group, you could rescue one of his transports. CorSec and RSF ships are attacking it as we speak!
PC: Okay.
Nirame Sakute: Then there's a Nym smuggler who needs an escort if he's going to make it through Lok space. As you can see, we have lots of opportunities here to earn Nym's gratitude. And that's a good thing.
PC: I see what you mean.
Nirame Sakute: If you want to stick it to the Imperials, you could liberate - wink, wink - one of their freighters and bring it to a hyperspace jump point. We could always use something like that.
PC: Interesting.
Nirame Sakute: And if you just feel like blasting everything in sight, I could send you out a Dantooine patrol! Everybody's out there these days: CorSec, RSF, Imperial, even Valarian ships. Plenty of targets. So which one is it going to be?
PC: I'll take that escort.
PC: Sounds like that poor smuggler needs my help.
PC: An Imperial freighter? Sounds like a tough assignment. I'll take it.
PC: Let's see what I can do about making Dantooine safe for smuggler kind.
Nirame Sakute: Sounds that way! They are in Lok. Get going.
Lok System: Duty: Recover the Nym Freighter[]
Description:
- Rescue the Nym Freighter from combined attacks by police forces.
Mission description...
- First objective: Objective Name/Summary
- Second objective: Objective Name/Summary
- Enemy opposition: Number, type, and tier level of ships
Lok System: Duty: Escort the Nym Spice Craft[]
Description:
- Protect the Nym Freighter against Imperial aggression
Mission description...
- First objective: Objective Name/Summary
- Second objective: Objective Name/Summary
- Enemy opposition: Number, type, and tier level of ships
Dantooine System: Duty: Capture the Imperial Freighter[]
Description:
- Steal the Imperial freighter.
A little time after entering the Dantooine sector and following waypoints you will see a Heavy Imperial Freighter and a light escort of 3 (Tier 4 Tie Fighter's) jump into the sector. Destroy the Tie Fighter first and then, after targeting the freighter's engines, disable the craft. Eventually the freighter will be captured and you simply escort it out of the sector. Along the way at least one more Imperial attack craft will enter the sector and try to attack the freighter. Destroy it!
The newly arriving attack craft will either be a Tie Fighter, Tie Interceptor or Tie Advanced. Whatever the type of craft, it will be a Tier 4 pilot flying it.
Once you successfully escort the freighter out of the sector another one will jump in. Continue the same routine until you have enough cash or XP and then hyperspace home to end the mission.
- First objective: Capture Imperial freighters and escort them out of the sector
- Second objective: None
- Enemy opposition: Heavy Freighter + Tier 4 Tie Fighter, Either Tier 4 Tie Fighter, Tie Interceptor or Tie Advanced attacks captured freighter
- Reward: 5000 credits per captured freighter safely hypering out of the sector
Dantooine: Duty: Destroy Hostile Craft in Smuggling Lanes[]
Description:
- Remove the obstacles from our smuggling path.
A standard search and destroy duty mission, just like the rest. Your opponents are RSF and Imperials.
- First objective: Destroy all enemy ships
- Second objective: Destroy all enemy ships
- Enemy opposition: Enemies are all Tier 4 pilots. As with all duty patrol missions, the number of enemy ships increases each time you successfully complete a mission run. For the first two phases per mission, you will fight pilots in KSE Firesprays and TIE Advanced fighters. The boss phase, however, is comprised of the TIE Aggressor. Be warned that the Aggressor has a powerful rear turret and they use it. The only strategy that has been successful for me is to make attack runs (i.e. fly straight towards the Aggressor as it flies toward you and unload as much as you can on it, fly past it and keep going for a few seconds until its turret stops firing at you, then turn around and repeat, using the capacitor to shield shunt ability as needed). Surprisingly, the Aggressor's forward guns seem weaker than its turret, so you shouldn't take too much damage to your forward shields. You may need to weave a little bit after you pass the Aggressor to avoid a few shots from its turret though. Do NOT attempt to chase an Aggressor as they are fast and small enough to be difficult to hit when they are evading, and you will be disabled or destroyed rather quickly by that turret.
It is really easy if you go head on with the interceptor then kill your engines and unload your capacitor while he's running towards you, then you hit the gas and give a 90° angle to his turret (he will get max 2-3 shots in before you are out of range) then turn kill your engines and repeat.
