Talk to Laetin A'shera in Docking Bay 1[]
If you need work, talk to Laetin A'shera in Hangar Bay 1. He may have work for you.
Conversation with Laetin A'shera[]
Laetin A'shera: You there! This isn't a place to be milling about unless you're a pilot, friend.
PC: But I am one. Serissu sent me.
Laetin A'shera: Oh, I see. Let me look. Yes. %TU, is it? Yes, you're assigned to me. I guess we should get started.
PC: You got it, sir!
Laetin A'shera: There's a fleet of mining vessels coming in from another system. Our intelligence agency suspects a Black Sun spy to be among them.
PC: Understood.
Laetin A'shera: Use the space terminal to launch your ship and get to it!
Searching for Black Sun[]
Level: 3
Rewards:
- 400 XP
- 500 credits
Description:
- You have been instructed to look for Black Sun hiding among a fleet of mining vessels.
Recommended combat levels: 1 and higher |
Laetin A'shera is concerned that a Black Sun spy has found its way into a fleet of incoming mining ships. It is hard to identify and must be investigated by a pilot. I was recruited for the cause. It's good to be in open space again and the scenery of Ord Mantell has always been soothing. I'll be patrolling until the fleet arrives. Soon, we'll find out if Laetin was right.
- First objective: follow the waypoints
- Second objective: identify and disable the miner, then dock with it
- Third objective: destroy the attack ships
- Fourth objective: dock with the Car'das agent to transmit the information
- Enemy opposition: 3 Black Sun Assassins in Light Fighters
Conversation with Laetin A'shera[]
Laetin A'shera: You handled yourself well out there. I'm very impressed.
PC: Thank you.
Laetin A'shera: While you were gone, a Dynath miner was damaged by a Black Sun destroyer near the Masul'ivis Asteroid Belt.
PC: What should we do?
Laetin A'shera: You'll need to go out there, find the ship and escort it here as safely and as quickly as possible.

Conversation with Laetin A'shera[]
Laetin A'shera: Remarkable job, young %TU. I'm glad you've returned home safely.
PC: The Black Sun are getting more aggressive.
Laetin A'shera: We need to tell our allies, the Dynathians, that the Black Sun activity has increased greatly.
PC: I can do this.
Laetin A'shera: Get going. They need to know as soon as possible.

Conversation with Laetin A'shera[]
Laetin A'shera: As you came in, my men scanned your ship for this new virus strain. Unfortunately, your computer's information system is thick with the virus. The Black Sun know our every move.
PC: Perhaps, we can use it to our advantage.
Laetin A'shera: Hm. It's an interesting thought. Perhaps we could finally draw out the infamous Talonbane Cobra. You've obviously defeated everything else they've thrown at you.
PC: What's the Talonbane Cobra?
Laetin A'shera: One of the best officers the Black Sun has. A very skilled, heartless assassin.
PC: I'm willing to face him.
Laetin A'shera: You may have to. I know where to draw him out. I want you to go to the Lurid Aurora Nebula.
Assassinating the Assassin[]
Level: 3
Rewards:
- 400 XP
- 1500 credits
Description:
- Talonbane Cobra is an elite assassin for the Black Sun. You are to try and draw him out.
Recommended combat levels: 1 and higher |
It is of Laetin's suspicious that if I travel to the Lurid Aurora Nebula, I'll be able to draw out the infamous Talonbane Cobra. The Black Sun...they can sense me even before I leave the Tansarii Point Station. In the vast blackness of Ord Mantell, I am a glimmering beacon. I'll be glad to get rid of the Black Envy virus as soon as this mission is over.
- First objective: destroy 4 Black Sun fighters
- Second objective: destroy the Talonbane Cobra
- The combat is inside a nebula, so you don't have a high-end computer I suggest you try to lure the ships outside or you're dead meat, because the nebula can slow the frame rate A LOT.
- Players may be tasked with defeating a single attack fighter as a secondary objective. For some reason, this fighter triggers the journey home quest, ending 'Assassinating the Assassin' while at the same time still informing the player that they have yet to kill Talonbane Cobra. Return home and hand in the quest as normal.
Conversation with Laetin A'shera[]
Laetin A'shera: Ah, you've returned. It looked like we were going to lose you there. But you survived. Clearly, you're one of our best pilots. It's time to assign you to another quadrant. The Lucent Ivaya is now safe.
PC: Will I still be working with you?
Laetin A'shera: Unfortunately not, my friend. I only oversee the Lucent Ivaya and her activities. By the way, your computers have been cleaned of all traces of the Black Envy virus.
PC: What do I do now?
Laetin A'shera: You should meet with Aleas if you want to continue to help us with the Black Sun in Ord Mantell.
PC: Who is Aleas?
Laetin A'shera: Aleas Rans'ery handles anything that deals with the Bright Jewel Ribbon Quadrant. It concerns the defensive assignments for our pilots. Basically, it's the next step up from the Lucent Ivaya.
PC: Thank you for the information.
Laetin A'shera: I hope to see you around, pilot. For now... be safe.
