The Guardians of Loyalty, also called LOYAL, is a special operations battalion aligned with the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War. Their duty is to fight for honor and justice against a corrupt and dictatorial entity. Their drive is to free themselves from the Empire's supposed treachery solidifies them as more than a band of individuals; it instills a sense of brotherhood amongst them and binds their motives to what they see as something worth guarding. They speak of themselves as the edge of the Alliance blade, a thorn in the side of Imperial conquest, and a call to arms for all who wishes to live in a free and uncorrupt galaxy.

With over 100 members, LOYAL took part in many battles, including the Evacuation of Yavin, the Invasion of Dearic, the Battle of Restuss, the Battle of Hoth and many more.
