Bren Kingal

Bren Kingal

Bren Kingal lives in Mos Taike on Tatooine, a "backwater town on the galaxy's backwater-iest world."

/way tatooine 3770 2345 Bren Kingal;

Bren recruits you to perform what appears to be a number of minor law enforcement tasks for the town. Bren is actually a Rebel sympathizer using you to take out Imperial informants, ISB staff, and other servants of the Empire. But at least he's providing rare food decorations...

Mission 1, "Thark"[]

Rewards: 30 credits, Worrt Casserole

Conversation with Bren Kingal[]

Bren Kingal: Well, hey! I guess you're new to Mos Taike. Welcome - or maybe sympathies, given that this is a backwater town on the galaxy's backwater-iest world. But even here, one person can make a difference. In fact, I'm looking for someone to go after a local crook. Can you handle a fight?
PC: Who is this local crook?
Bren Kingal: His name's Thark. He's a rude, obnoxious Aqualish - not to be redundant - and he's a menace to free people in this town.
PC: Sure I can handle a fight! Point me at him!
Bren Kingal: That's great! Remember, this Aqualish - one of those tusk-faced guys - stole a shield generator. He may be using it for defense, so let fly with everything you've got. Bring back the generator, okay?

Go to the provided waypoint (3734 2831) and kill Thark (CL36).

Thark: Don't attack, you stupid lout, I'm an Imperial informant! I confiscated this generator from an insipid thief before it reached the Rebels. I- argh, never mind, I'd rather kill you!

Bring the recovered Shield Generator back to Bren.

Conversation with Bren Kingal[]

Bren Kingal: Excellent, friend! I'm glad you see we all have to work together for our safety and freedom. I'd like to reward you with money, but I'm just a junior officer. Here, my sister made this casserole. It's delicious!

Mission 2, "Kli Sithrin"[]

Rewards: 30 credits, Bantha Steak Soup

Conversation with Bren Kingal[]

Bren Kingal: Hey, hello again! Kli Sithrin is in town, that big Sullustan gangster in -- Anchorhead, I think. He stole a medpack right out of a little girl's hand. Doesn't that make your blood burn? If you take this guy out of circulation, I'll cheer you on. Bring me the medpack, and I'll give it back to the little girl. Okay?
PC: Why did Kli Sithrin steal the medpack?
Bren Kingal: I couldn't tell you. Maybe he just wanted to show off. These Anchorhead gangsters like to mark their territory, just like a womp rat.
PC: I can't stand by and watch a little girl have her medicine stolen. I'll get it back for her!
Bren Kingal: Hey, that's really friendly. Look for a tough Zabrak with orange skin and slashing tattoos on his face. Even his horns have got horns, they say, so watch out. Bring the medpack back here.

Funny enough, the target turns out to be a blue-skinned Twi'lek. Go to the provided waypoint (4207 2161) and kill Kli Sithrin (CL16).

Kli Sithrin: That's close enough. What brings you here? A stolen medpack? I stole no medpack. If you must know, I'm meeting here with an ISB official. Hold on, I told you an Imperial secret. Now I suppose I'll have to kill you. Mangler, attack!

Bring the recovered Stamina Medpack back to Bren.

Conversation with Bren Kingal[]

Bren Kingal: Thanks, that was fine work. Did Sithrin say anything? Well, when you corner these gangsters, they'll try everything. Did you like my sister's casserole? Try her soup. Takes a while to make, but mmm, worth it!

Mission 3, "Jespral Farandan"[]

Rewards: 30 credits, Tusken Bread

Conversation with Bren Kingal[]

Bren Kingal: Look at you, you're back! Seems like every time I see you, I have trouble to report. Jespral Farandan, a big figure in an offworld terrorist ring, is hiding out near here. Best hideout in the galaxy, really. But he's planning a new attack, and he has information crucial to our defenses, so it would be great if you could stop him, okay?
PC: Is this one really a gangster? The others didn't talk like crooks.
Bren Kingal: If you start believing crooks, you'll never get justice. If you're uncomfortable taking down the folks who make this galaxy unsafe - and I guarantee that's who you're fighting - then say "No". So, friend, what's your answer?
PC: I'll gladly help you stop this terrorist!
Bren Kingal: That's great. This Farandan - I should warn you, he's wearing a Rebel Alliance uniform. But trust me, he's not a Rebel. Hey, I'm not trying to start a political discussion here; he's just not, that's all. If you find a datadisk on him, you'll bring that back here, right?

Go to the provided waypoint (4569 2445) and kill Jespral Farandan (CL16). Jespral Farandan: So. I must say, those Rebel scum found me out remarkably quickly. I'm about to make my first report to the ISB. In it I shall recount your death.

Bring the recovered Farandan's datadisk back to Bren.

Conversation with Bren Kingal[]

Bren Kingal: That's another favor I owe you, friend. I wouldn't put any stock in anything that fellow said; you know these crooks, after all. I wonder if you'd like some fresh flatbread my sister just brought? Have to eat it quick, or it goes all greasy.

Mission 4, "Trone Thanamiroc"[]

Rewards: 30 credits, Eopie Cream Pie

Conversation with Bren Kingal[]

Bren Kingal: Hey, you're riding to my rescue yet again, friend. Word comes down from Mos Eisley that a known murderer and master of disguise, Trone Thanamiroc, is on another homicidal killing spree. He hijacked a vehicle and is rampaging around. Someone has to stop him, but I'm stuck here. Can you handle a tough target?
PC: "Master of disguise"? What's he dressed like?
Bren Kingal: Hey, Thanamiroc can look like anything. Farmers, Sand People, Imperial soldiers, Rebels, baby banthas, you name it. Just kidding about the banthas. Whatever he looks like, he's always trouble. What do you say?
PC: I can handle this guy. Point me at him!
Bren Kingal: Good! The Mos Eisley office planted a homing beacon on his vehicle, so you should be able to find him. Be sure to bring back proof of his defeat, like his helmet or something. For once I can promise you a terrific reward!

Go to the provided waypoint (3844 1715) and kill Trone Thanamiroc (CL23).

Trone Thanamiroc: Finally you're here. Get this thing running, imbecile, or I'll have you beaten senseless. Wait- you're no repair engineer! A trap!

Bring the recovered AT-ST pilot's helmet back to Bren.

Conversation with Bren Kingal[]

Bren Kingal: Thanamiroc was passing himself off as a bounty hunter, eh? That's an ironic twist - wonder if he could have collected a bounty on himself. Ha! Hey, thanks again. Here's the best reward you'll find in Mos Taike: my sister's specialty! Don't show it around, or everyone will want a slice.
