Deconstruct is a radial option found on various items, e.g., armor, weapon, vehicles. These items are typically high-level loot, battlefield rewards, quest rewards, collection rewards, and the like. Most of these items are no trade and/or bio-linked or requires the item to be bio-linked. However, the owner of these items can deconstruct (one time only) the item from within their inventory or datapad using the radial option. The item is then removed from the owner's inventory or datapad and converted to a single use bio-linked temporary advanced version schematic, which can then be traded to an appropriately skilled trader for crafting.
This process generally removes any stats the item had previously, but can result in an improved version of the item, such as: increased damage, increased protections, a socket for skill enhancing attachments, etc.
