Description:

Speak with Menchi Lerann[]

Lieutenant Cope's next mission is an old problem: someone is smuggling highly addictive ryll spice into Kor Vella, and you need to find the source. It's time to become a vice cop! He gives you the name of his contact, a Gran named Menchi Lerann (-3467 3024).

Conversation with Menchi Lerann[]

Menchi Lerann: Wassat? You need somethin' from Menchi? Menchi likes to help CorSec. What can Menchi do?
PC: Who do you buy ryll from?
Menchi Lerann: Oh, that's an easy one. Menchi buys ryll from Vuul. Vuul Sarlin. He's Menchi's friend. Jaylon knows where to find Vuul. Jaylon is another of Menchi's friends. Ask Jaylon how to find Vuul.

Speak with Jaylon Geissler[]

Lerann is happy to help you, his supplier is Vuul Sarlin, but you'll have to talk to Jaylon Giessler first (-3324 3411).

Conversation with Jaylon Geissler[]

Jaylon Geissler: Buzz off. Ain't nothing for you here.
PC: I'm looking for Vuul Sarlin.
Jaylon Geissler: Right. That's a good one. And you expect me to give him up? That's an even better one.

Destroy the Ryll in the Warehouse[]

Jaylon Giessler isn't too keen to speak with you, so enter his warehouse and destroy eight crates of his ryll. That might loosten his tongue.

Once you've wasted his ryll, Jaylon is happy to tell you where Vuul is.

Jaylon Geissler: Okay, okay. Now that you've destroyed all that ryll, I guess I tell you where he is. It's not like he won't already be fuming. Vuul has a camp outside of town. You'll find him there.

Rough Up some of Vuul's Guards[]

Jaylon Giessler gives you the location of Vuul's camp, outside town (-2955 3397). Go to the camp and rough up twelve of Vuul's guards (CL38). This gets Vuul's attention.

Speak with Vuul Sarlin[]

Vuul tells you he wants no trouble, and tells you the person at the hideout you need to see is Ladonna Poe (-2237 3303) - but she will die before she tells you a thing. Looks like a fight.

Conversation with Vuul Sarlin[]

Vuul Sarlin: Hey, okay. You've made your point. If you can defeat my guards that easily, then you are not someone I want any heat from. Or maybe it just means I need to hire better guards. Anyway, you have my attention. What can I do for you?
PC: Who supplies you with ryll?
Vuul Sarlin: All I know is that it's smuggled onto Corellia on small ships and unloaded at a bunker near here. I only ever deal with a contact outside of the bunker. Ladonna Poe is her name. That's all I know. If you need more information, I suggest going there, but don't expect her to talk. She'll die before she tells you anything. Oh, and if you're going to kill her, can you do me a favor while you're there?
PC: I suppose I can.
Vuul Sarlin: Oh good. Please remove my name from their database of ryll sellers. If they don't have my name, maybe they won't suspect me as being the one who ratted them out.
PC: Okay, I'll do that.
Vuul Sarlin: Thank you. They'll probably have 2 databases with information on ryll sellers. Be sure to get both of them. Let me know when it's done.

Vuul asks you to purge his name from the records in the ryll smuggling ring, and offers it as a side quest: Database Purge.

Just before you reach the Ryll Smuggler Bunker, about 100m from it, Olivia Bain (-2328, 18, 3282) will give you the quest: Smuggle Civius Bain from the Smugglers.

Defeat Ladonna Poe[]

Once you reach the hideout, Ladonna Poe (CL37) attacks you. When she is dead, take her access card and enter the hideout.

Besiege the Bunker[]

You have several tasks here:

Defeat 19 Ryll Smugglers (CL38-39)
Access the smuggler's mainframe (-2137 3298)
Destroy seven crates of unrefined ryll

When you access the mainframe, you find nothing - not one thing.

"You notice something of interest on the crates of unrefined ryll. Each an every one is marked in the same way: with a single red circle."

At the same time, Lt. Cope contacts you, telling you that something terrible has happened.

Lieutenant Lon Cope: Something terrible has happened. Leave off your investigation and report to me at once!

Conversation with Lieutenant Lon Cope[]

Lieutenant Lon Cope: I apologize for pulling you off of the ryll smuggler case so abruptly, but it was necessary. Someone tried to kill the mayor again, and this time they succeeded. Deel Draav is dead. I need you to reopen that investigation and find out what we missed the first time.
PC: I'm on it.
Lieutenant Lon Cope: Thank you. I recommend you head back to Hershel's place. Re-examine whatever you find there.
