These are used, in conjunction with Rebreather Filters, to create an Enhanced Filter later combined with a looted Rebreather, to allow safe travel through the Alum Mines of the Endor Death Watch Bunker.

Only an Artisan with Engineering II can use this item at a special Workbench inside the dungeon during the Rebreather Quest.
