Recommended combat levels: 75 and higher |
Begin this quest by talking to the Mining Corporation Executive (/way mustafar 307 -1222) in the Mensix Mining Facility. He will describe a problem with a union strike, and ask you to help out.
Conversation with the Mining Corporation Executive[]
Mining Corporation Executive: You there. The corporation could use your assistance. Are you available at the moment?
PC: That depends on what you need assistance with.
Mining Corporation Executive: Of course it does. We have a bit of a problem with some miners that are on strike. We've tried reasoning with them, but they won't budge...claiming all sorts of preposterous things. It's time to end this nonsense and I've come up with a plan.
PC: This should be good...
Mining Corporation Executive: Oh, it will be. I need you to go in to their facility and destroy the power generator. If you rip out the cables around the core and then steal the core itself, they won't have any way to repair it. They will have to come begging us to help them, in exchange for them going back to work, of course.
PC: Not bad, that might work. Where is their camp?
Mining Corporation Executive: I knew you'd be the right one for the job. The facility is up in the northwest part of the continent. Here, let me mark it down in your datapad. Your reward will be here waiting for you when you return with the core from their power generator.
PC: Sounds good. What kind of resistance can I expect?
Mining Corporation Executive: They are just miners. Shouldn't pose a problem for you at all. The leader of the strike is fairly clever though. You may want to sweet talk him a little to make sure he doesn't interfere.
Dirty business[]
An executive from the mining corporation has hired you to destroy the power generator at the striking mining facility in the North West of the continent. The first step is to tear out the cables surrounding the power core of the machine.
He says he needs you to go to the site and rip out the wires to their power generator and then steal the power core. He gives you a waypoint to the Striking miners camp about 4000m in the Northwest region of the map (/way mustafar -2387 1515).
Arriving at the Mining Camp you will have opportunity to talk with the Miners and tell them why you are here... Telling them the truth or not. This choice will lead you to serve either the Miners or the Executives and will determine which Hologram you will receive as reward.
The Executive side[]
When you arrive, you will find the Miners are passive, and will let you walk up to the power generator without trouble.
Dirty business[]
An executive from the mining corporation has hired you to destroy the power generator at the striking mining facility in the North West of the continent. The first step is to tear out the cables surrounding the power core of the machine.
Clicking on the power generator will bring up a radial menu with the option of ripping out the wires. Doing so will aggro the whole camp, comprised of mostly CL 67 to 72 NPCs. The miners will deathblow, but on Mustafar, that's just a free and fast trip back to where you need to go anyway.
Take the core[]
You need to remove the power core from the generator.
Clicking on the power generator a second time, the radial menu will list the option of taking the power core. If you do this before the NPCs respawn, then you don't need to fight them again.
Return[]
Head back to the new mining facility and show the power core to the executive.'
You are given a message to return to Mining Corporation Executive. Do so to receive your reward, and a thanks from the executive.
Conversation with the Mining Corporation Executive[]
Mining Corporation Executive: There you are! Do you have the core?
PC: Of course I do. They didn't know what hit them.
Mining Corporation Executive: Haha. Excellent! I like your style, my friend. This is splendid indeed. Those fools won't have any choice but to come crawling back now.
PC: This is all very interesting, but there was talk of a reward?
Mining Corporation Executive: Of course, of course. You are in for a treat, my friend. Not only will I pay you the sum of 20,000 credits, but you will also receive this beautiful hologram of yours truly!
PC: What the heck would I do with a hologram of you?!
Mining Corporation Executive: Now now, settle down there, buddy. You should put it in your home to commemorate this fantastic day, of course! Now if you'll excuse me, I have to prepare for those maggots to come crawling back.
The Miners Side[]
Talk to the Mining Strike Leader (/way mustafar -2387 1508) next to the power generator and he will explain his side of the problem of the corrupt executive, take his side and he gives you a disk to upload into the computer back at the mining facility.
Conversation with the Mining Strike Leader[]
Mining Strike Leader: How may I assist?
PC: This looks like a mine but you aren't working?
Mining Strike Leader: No, we are currently on strike.
PC: How come?
Mining Strike Leader: Recently we found out that one of the executives in our corporation is skimming bonus money that should be going to us, the workers. The corporation doesn't take our allegations seriously, though, so we're not working.
PC: You don't say? Do you have any proof?
Mining Strike Leader: Hmm, why do you ask?
PC: Oh, I'm just curious.
Mining Strike Leader: Well, these days, we can't be careful enough, so I believe our conversation ends here.
PC: Well, I was sent here by that executive to sabotage.
Mining Strike Leader: I knew it! I was wondering how long it would take him to resort to that kind of action. How come you are telling me?
PC: After hearing your side, I'd like to help you guys out.
Mining Strike Leader: Interesting. You asked earlier if we have proof and we indeed do. The problem is that the executive's men will probably attack us on sight if we go near the headquarters. You, on the other hand, could go in freely.
PC: Agreed. What do you need me to do in there?
Mining Strike Leader: If we give you a disk with the proof we have, you can upload it onto the corporation's communication network. Then they can't ignore us anymore.
PC: Sounds easy enough. I'll do it!
Mining Strike Leader: Good, here's the disk. You will find the computer terminal inside the main mining facility.
PC: Very well, I will return when it's done.
Mining Strike Leader: I look forward to it. Be careful of guards on the executive's payroll. They will try to stop you if they figure out what you are up to.
Switched sides[]
You have decided to help the striking miners. Return to the new mining facility and upload the proof against the corrupt executive in to their information network.
Upload the disk into the Mining Network Terminal (/way mustafar 371 -1215). You will then be attacked by three corrupt guards CL76 after about a 20 second wait.
Mission accomplished[]
Return to the striking miners leader and let him know that it's done.
Return to the miner strike leader.
Conversation with the Mining Strike Leader[]
Mining Strike Leader: My friend! We have already heard the good news! I believe the corporation is setting up the trial for that scum, as we speak, and I've received word that they are sending a negotiator out here to come to an agreement. We couldn't thank you enough.
PC: It felt good sticking it to that pompous vermin.
Mining Strike Leader: I agree! Now we are by no means rich, but we all chipped in and have managed to put together a credit reward. We also have this hologram for you to remember us by.
PC: I'm most grateful. Thank your men for me.
Mining Strike Leader: We're the ones that are grateful, friend. Take good care of yourself!
